Zuni Parent Involvement
Team Parent involvement and input is
crucial to student success at Zuni. We
want to continue to work as a team and be a part of all the awesome things
happening at Zuni this year. There will be a parent involvement team with a
focus on planning after school programs, parent participation activities, and
the Title 1 Program for next year. If you are interested in begin a part of
this, please email Cindy Salveson at salveson@aps.edu and I will put you on
the list to contact when there is a meeting planned. I am excited about the
opportunity to work together. |

Welcome To The Parent Corner
In the Title 1 classroom, room
3, there is a parent corner with resources to help parents with
homework, a parent library, fun and
educational games to play as a family, copies of the standards, and computers
for parents to use. Games and books can be borrowed as
needed. |
|
Parent Compact and Parent Involvement Policy At the close of last year, some very
kind parents helped us revise these forms, adapting them to the needs of Zuni. The purpose of the compact, which is
in the student handbook, is to create the best learning environment possible
at Zuni. The purpose of the Parent Involvement Policy is to foster and
encourage parents to continue to be a part of Zuni. Copies of these forms are
available in the Title 1 room. |
|
Parent Support Another important role of Title 1 is
to be a resource for parents. If you have questions about curriculum, need
homework support, or just a quiet place to work on the computer, you are
welcome to drop into room 3. For safety reasons, Please check in at the
office first . |
